There’s something timeless about an engagement session at Cocoa Beach. The soft waves, golden light, and salty breeze make every love story shine. For Nathan and Katie, it was the perfect backdrop for celebrating their journey together in Florida. As an Orlando Engagement Photographer, capturing their connection on the shore felt both natural and unforgettable.

Nathan and Katie’s story started far away in Sicilia, Italy, where they got engaged. For me, this was a particularly meaningful session because Nathan is the brother of one of my past brides. She insisted that I should be the one to document this special moment—and I couldn’t have been more honored.

When they arrived in Florida for just a couple of days, one thing was clear: the beach was non-negotiable. After all, when you’re in Florida, you have to experience the beach! They chose Cocoa Beach, a spot known for its wide-open skies, rolling waves, and the kind of light that makes love shine even brighter.

Originally, Nathan and Katie envisioned a sunset session. But as every Floridian knows, summer evenings bring unpredictable storms. Instead of letting the weather win, we shifted to plan B: sunrise. And what a gift it was.

The morning glow created the perfect backdrop. Dressed in whites and beiges—timeless colors that beautifully complemented the beach—they embraced the warmth of the sand and the sea breeze. Even with the heat rising quickly, they laughed, relaxed, and fully enjoyed the experience. Their comfort and joy made the session feel effortless, which is always my biggest priority.

The ocean gave Nathan and Katie the perfect backdrop for their love story. However, every engagement session starts with a proposal story. Donavan and Ally’s Cypress Grove Park proposal is another of my favorite Orlando love stories!
